Crazy About You
Is it enough to say I love you, is it enough to know I care? Is it enough that when we walk I always hold your hand?
Is it enough that we share a bed at night, see the kids everyday know they’re alright, is it enough to live our lives in content without all the romance and fireworks of when we first met?
Is it enough to stand on our vows, what’s the success in having anyone you choose when the one you seek cannot be found?
Do you want the status quo, I’m gonna be crazy about you or I’ll just go it alone.
Is it enough to be showered in words and poems that rhyme? I’ll be crazy about you till the end of time.
I’m crazy about you, I cannot eat all day or sleep at night, erase you from my thoughts or separate you from my heart, it's a perilous fight.
Our best kept secret, between just us, public displays of affection and everyone else. My song for you remains unwritten, but pass me a melody half as lovely as thee, and while basking in a small corner of your shadow I will compose the world’s greatest symphony.
I’m crazy about you, I will forever remain, no fervent words I say can ever accurately explain, nor my depth of love ever hope to be conveyed.
Because I’m crazy about you the gravity of my emotions will never anchor you in tumultuous waters or keep you undesirably at bay, but hear my name whispered gently in the winds as they fill your sails to carry you away. Across the free and open sea, on a course of your design, either with or without me.
Precious one, in this moment I realize my gift, which is the meaning of life, its purpose to give it away. Grant me "till death do us part" that I would die for only you this day.
Tears of joy run down my face. I close my eyes for the last time, knowing I’m crazy about you.
I wait unmoved by any gods, eternally there for you. I am crazy about you no matter where or what lies beyond the astral plane. If there I find your sweet lips at my fingertips, then this place, heaven is its name.
Is it enough to know I’m crazy about you?
