Is halfway forever?

You’re gonna be ok, you’re gonna live for many more years I’m told, but I just can’t  see myself growing old.
I close my eyes and try hard to imagine it, but I just can’t see it not one little bit.
When I was a child I always saw myself growing up and having a husband and kids, but anything beyond that my mind simply forbids.
I just can’t see it no matter how hard I try, like it isn’t part of my plan and I have no idea why.
We all want to grow old and for a hundred years be together, but maybe for some….only halfway is forever.
