A stream of glass.

The stream of glass.

I see dreams of you and your blue eyes too, and streams of glass. This cannot last. Then I see a ring of gold that can't be sold and daffodils on a lilac hill. I think to myself, I will give her a whirl! I see your golden curls, and then your smile is so bright that it lights up the night. What a beautiful sight. My coffee I spill on the windowsill. Please be my girl. I love you still. You give me a thrill, and I will meet you on the hill. Then we'll cook on the grill. The star are so still but, I'm getting a chill.  Then I think to myself, I know the drill.

I too am so bored…I’ve even turned inward and I have been rediscovering things I learned so long ago but I had misplaced due to events in my life…I’ve heard narcissists can’t feel grateful for things they receive in their lives…Well I am grateful for so many of the little blessings I have been receiving in my life recently…Although I am still pissed off at Uncle Sam, yet I’m grateful for his blessing me…Even though he sentenced me to a slow death at the age of 18…Ih well…I do not like to cry over spilt milk and thank God for my newly gained single life…Once I’m divorced…I hope that I’ll ever marry again before my asbestos exposure finely returns me to the place I was in/at in my youth…

I absolutely love the imagery and emotion portrayed in your poem, "A Stream of Glass." The way you describe the dreams, blue eyes, streams of glass, and golden curls is truly captivating. The use of colors and nature elements like daffodils and the lilac hill adds a beautiful touch to the overall sentiment of love and admiration.

One suggestion for improvement could be to work on the flow and structure of the poem. Consider playing with the rhythm and meter, and possibly breaking up the lines into stanzas to create a more organized and cohesive piece. Additionally, try to explore different poetic devices like similes, metaphors or symbolism to further enhance the depth and layers of your writing.

Overall, I think you have a lot of talent and potential as a poet. Keep writing and experimenting with different styles and techniques to continue to grow and develop your unique voice. Keep up the great work!
