A Million Tear Drops

A Million Tear Drops
By Nancy Rodriquez

I have cried a million tear drops, which could become a sea on its own,
God above has counted them all, when my heart was broken and alone, He gave me comfort after our fall,
I’ve been up and down in my faith, I’ve depleted my soul calling out in the deep, my words echo back to me anyway,
From the depths of great sorrow, I’ve knelt in reverent prayer, another tear rolls down my cheek, making a splash heard into tomorrow,
Loving you has taken me into rage and acceptance, in fullness or insensitive hunger as two should be,
For I long to kiss your lips once again, I long to slap your face to force you to know my pain, though a wrong does not make a right, I write this in a song to sing it in the night,
Until our love is reunited and we finally win this fight, I will not be too excited, until this becomes true to sight.
