Skinned Knees and Broken Bones
I’ve skinned my knees, I’ve broken bones,
Been wounded by both sticks and stones.
Through rough terrain and trials endured,
My path ahead lies unobscured.
I’ve suffered falls and bruises too,
Withstood the pain and battled through.
When faced with unexpected twists,
Determination still persists.
I’ve learned at last to stand up tall,
To rise again after each fall.
The joys and heartaches all combined,
Throughout life’s storms, are intertwined.
I’ve skinned my knees, I’ve broken bones,
But hurdles now are stepping stones.
The past is gone, it leaves no trace,
My future’s held in life’s embrace.
