The Power of Creation

As I walk alone the barren beach
The moonlight dances over the sullen land
Listening to the pounding waves they reach
Cleansing the shore with her healing hand
As Aphrodite, Goddess of Beauty and Love
Looks upon her sandy shores
Spreading the wings of her splendid dove
Carrying the branch of peace, she soars
Softness caresses the moonlit night
As gentleness surrounds the cool night air
Tenderness covers the ailing land with light
Healing all within her lofty lair
Her strength within she finds compelling
Her wisdom as arcane as nature herself
Her feelings onboard a ship at sea
Her mast reveals wind for a powerful sailing
In patience I find life hasn't passed me by
For I am building a solid, secure unmovable foundation
By using my gifts of intuition I fly
Trusting in the Power of Creation

About this poem

While living in Cape Canaveral FL, when I had problems sleeping I would talk a walk on the beach ;I lived about 3000 feet from the beach. Listening to the ocean waves swashing up on the shore was just so darned calming. It was a time of self reflection and regroup to decide what I was going to do for the rest of my life.
