The Dream Is You And I
The dream is you and I
Awaken everywhere all at once
Breathing life as happiness
Love, lips and verse
In motion as one
In every season
Side by side
Hand in hand
Making ordinary bread
Into sweet rolls.
The dream is you and I
Going places far and wide
Sharing things together
Making love alive
In each others arms
Facing the ordinary
As something very special
Smiling and laughing
Doing nothing
Sleeping away.
The dream is you and I
Connected in unison
Never alone in spirit
Watching and snuggling
Or working things out
Making a house a home
Crying till it’s okay
Having each other’s back
A lifetime plan
We make to last forever.
