Blazin Ash
You burn and blaze through the night
Warming and comforting like sunlight
Perhaps you can't see it in my eyes
But you're as magical as the moonrise
Your flames never cease to amaze me
Your warming presence always seems to embrace me
Your fiery smell fills my lungs, taking over
But perhaps it's better that way
Everyday I visit you at five
I sit on a bench waiting for the time to arrive
Your constant crackling fills the area with sound
With embers slowly melting away on the ground
I gaze at the crystal clear night sky
Waiting and anticipating a reply
Watching you shine and light every corner
When I'm with you I never seem to hurdle
Your flames of red and yellow
Your neverending spires of smoke
Your warmth warming my frozen fingers
Your hopes, dreams and desires keep the flame bright, but what happens when they start to fade?
Your flames start to wither away
Your fire puts itself out
Your ashes get carried away by the wind
I watch and stare in horror as I see you get taken away until nothing is left
I try to chase after the ashes in hopes of bringing you back to no avail
Between the frozen feeling in my fingers and your warm touch, belongs my heart so frail
Whilst i try to find my feelings for your warmth but I've gone lost on your trail
I've been left so cold yet when I was with you, your scorching flame was leaving my skin not so pale
And at the end as I sit where you once were, waiting for you to burn and blaze again, brighter than the sun as I wish once again to tell this tail
