Here Today, Gone Tomorrow

Dan Jeffrey Hyde 1968 (Harris County Texas)

March 24

Here today
gone tomorrow
along with our happiness
and our sorrow

Our seeds are planted
then we grow
living, some thriving
by what we know

Days, weeks, months
then years
we savor our laughter
and dry our tears

In the sunshine
and through the rain
we pray our existence
is not in vain

Along with our happiness
and our sorrow
here today
gone tomorrow
