sologamy

sologamy 1964 (Lagos)

Ode

In solitude, I find my bliss,
A journey of self-love, I do insist.
No vows exchanged with another's hand,
But a promise to myself, to always stand.

In sologamy, I take my heart's lead,
Embracing my flaws, my strengths, indeed.
No need for a partner to complete me,
For within myself, I find unity.

With every step down this path I tread,
I celebrate the love within, widespread.
No need for validation from outside,
For in my own embrace, I confide.

I cherish the moments, both big and small,
In sologamy's embrace, I stand tall.
For in loving myself, I set free,
The purest form of love, eternally.

So here's to sologamy, a love divine,
A celebration of self, for all of time.
In this ode, my heart does sing,
To the beauty of self-love, everlasting.
