Scent of a Rose

Your sweetness droves scent which I adore
Hangs up in the air like the perfume I wore,
But your frangrance never stayed nor lasts
Leaving no remnants of the memories that pass.

Scent that captured the others above all
Much like roses letting its flowers fall,
Small shaded red petals hued along
Trapped in like music in a heartfelt song.

Scent of a rose I can smell no more
Like petals swept by the waves ashore,
Roses! drew me back to my cheerful heart
Spare me your petals 'though in formless art!
