If I hurt the sky
then the clouds would gray
the sky would yell at me with thunderous words.
if I hurt the sky
there would be no more rain.
it'd drown me in sickened envy and fill my lungs with festered pain.

it hates to be my friend.
they say that friends, they never hurt each other.

they have been wrong before and they will be wrong again.
