Horizons

Kailey Norris 2004 (North Carolina)

The separation between land and sky,
Waves and clouds,
Mountains and wind,
trees and birds.

The horizon can never be reached,
A separation that will never be grasped.
What is seen is what is known,
The question’s beyond the line.
