POETRY

I am a seamsress!
I sew words into the fabrics of your heart
Designing endless lines of joy like a hat
Weaving threads of hope into you from my mat

I am a cook!
From the creative kitchen of poetry
My delicious pen bleeding ink as pastry
Calling out to everyone who is hungry

I am a doctor!
Injecting you with the truth about real life
Cutting out emotional wounds with my knife
Operating your mood to keep you alife

I am a teacher!
Writing on the white board of morals with pen
Explaining to you how five plus five is ten
Marking the scripts of life correcting all men

Call me poetry!
I am your extra pair of glasses for clear sight
I will strengthen you like Samson with great might
On the pages of your heart I choose to write
