Reaction Or Reason

Reaction ricocheting of reaction.
Inside and out there.
Bouncing back rattling to our respective positions,
reason it has no place.
Or the slow luxury of response.
The unhurried quality of grace.

The poisoned minds game of comparison.
Shoveling dirt to bury truth.
Most responses aren't worth the dignity,
sacrificed to feed the brute.
Words can not convert to reason,
those that will not see.
nor bridge the chasm between
these deadly disparity's.
