HEAVEN IS A STATE OF MIND

Heaven is a state of mind
Well maybe…if you're blind
Heaven's coming can't you see
How much better off you'll be

It's not about how you feel
Or an expression of your zeal
For Heaven is an actual place
The entry fee is God's own Grace

No, Heaven is not on earth
You only find it through rebirth
This promised life for the free
Open your eyes that you might see

No, I'm not open —empty– minded
I tried for years in vain to find it
I kept an open mind all about
Till—SPLAT!-- my brain fell out

Heaven isn't a place YOU get to
No amount of trying will get through
You won't ever be able to get there
For it's only found in a prayer

The Door to Heaven is not Love's desire
You won't find it in a singing choir
Nor in denying yourself, paying every Cost
The Door to Heaven—-its a wooden Cross

Don't have an empty (open) mind
Confusion, that  is all you'll find
Close your mind, open your heart
There the path to Heaven will start
