Rainbow Haiku in Three Parts

My heart cried out for God
I looked up through the window
And saw a rainbow.

I watched the rainbow
As it moved across the sky
My heart filled with joy.

The rainbow faded
But when God’s gift left this world
Hope and Peace remained.

About this poem

I literally wrote this as I watched a rainbow from my window one day. It should be noted that though I am not of one of the Abrahamic faiths, this poem does follow an Abrahamic theme as it was the best concept for the Haiku idea I had.
