Cycle

The cycle begins, a new moon in sight,
A time of change not feeling contrite.
A surge of hormones, a sign of peace,
A flow of blood, an egg to release.

Days may pass, emotions may flare,
A time to rest, to show we care.
For a cycle is more than blood and pain,
It's a journey of growth, a chance to gain.

A chance to honor body and souls,
feel the power that within us flows.
For the cycle is a sign of life,
A sign of strength, not of strife.

So let us embrace our natures flow,
Let us honor the journey we undergo.
For a while the cycle is a part of us,
A natural process, a chance to trust.
