Victory Banner
Victory Banner
Tears wash away my sorrow and fears
Softly as rain from Heaven
When I reach out and cry to you
Knowing you hear me
Seeing my soul so low
All I can do is look up
I point my face skyward
Call your name in a whisper
Place my cares in your hands
And embrace your healing and release.
I want joy to wash away my sadness
Watch the sunlight soak up
Every dark, wet night
And illuminate me with joy
Replace my drenched emotions
With laughter, joy and smiles
The fatigue of misery is
A weight I no longer wish to bear
Let me run barefoot again
Freely through a field of frolicking.
It’s been way too long since grinning
Celebrates across my face
Freedom completely unfurls
As a flag flying in the wind
Your breeze breathing me new life
Arriving as springtime
Jumping effervescent as bubbles
In a champagne bottle
I want to sing in French out loud
And wave your banner in victory!
