River
William brooks 1959 (Salem)
I look across the river what do I see. The city of Philadelphia staring at me. Altogether glowing with its inner city lights. Yes as I look in the middle of the night. The river so calm as the winds die down. Great big ships without any sound. Things slow down as the traffic has changed. Altogether different from cars changing lanes. Once in a while you hear a fog horn. Rather hear that than watching cars form. At least at night you can get some rest. Altogether different from the day time mess. As I look across the river I really must say. Enjoy doing it each and every day. But then at night as the lights begin to glow. That is what makes my curiosity grow.
About this poem
God's work is so beautifully displayed if you take time to check it out. It shows in many different ways the beauty of His work. It is magnificent.
