The Blinded Angel

She looks at mirror with tired eyes
She's not pleased, she sees everything she despise
She breaks the mirror for it's true nature
Yet cracks show her a dozen times—like curses written on paper

All she thinks is the way she looks,
And all the makeup she cannot afford.
She's a professional at many, yet thirst for "beauty" blinded her to them.
Although she never believed beauty is a fluid thing.

Beauty comes from within your heart,
not the outsiders that usually catch the eye
One day she'll know that she's blessed,
An angel among the rest.

About this poem
