May we find the good

It is in people's hearts we seek the good,
For in their deeds we find none,
The ones that passed thought they understood,
When in fact, they would all be gone.

You see children with their innocent smiles,
Enquiring about a world they'll never know,
Living a life of fear and of sorrow,
While others say you reap what you sow.

Just came to this world, yet to sow,
The ones who sowed did never reap,
Left in their trail what could not be undone,
And let those with pure hearts weep.

In tales of old we used to see,
How was the fate of the evil man,
Thus let us look deep within,
May we find the good again.
