Moments

Moments of happiness
Moments of sad
The pain is deep
The pain is bad

My mind plays tricks on me
My mouth wants to yell
The enemy is having a field day For he's putting me through hell

Voices in my head
Will not shut up
They kept me silent
They kept me stuck

Why did I wait so long
Too finally speak up
If I had done it sooner
I wouldn't feel so yuck

My body is crashing
It's crashing so hard
There are times
I feel alarmed

Shame that I feel
It hurts to the core
Please tell me
There isn't any more

I'm listening to music
I'm reading good books
I'm dancing, I'm exercising
I'm working on my looks

Nights are the worst
As I lay in bed
I can't get this feeling of
Dread out of my head

My heart is racing
My stomach hurts
How do I stop this
Before I burst

Moments of happiness
Moments of sad
I need to let loose
Before I go mad

Mad at the devil
Mad at myself
Mad at the world
Mad at this hell

Into the prayer closet
Is where I must run
For nothing else I do
Has been very fun

Jesus is waiting
For me to come in
He will stand by my side
And keep me from sin

He is the only one
That can help me
Of this I am sure
He can cleanse me
From depression
He can make me pure

I have to let him in
Let everything else go
He is my best friend
This I truly know
He is the only way
I can truly grow

I need to surrender
All of my moments
Unto Him

The Pain that's so deep
Into his shoulder
I can weep

He will wipe away
Everyone of my tears
As I offer up too
Him all of my fears

Tears are a language
That He understands
He will make me whole again Now isn't that grand

My story is not over
My story is just begun
Jesus is with me
The battle won
For on my knees
Is where I fought

Moments of happiness
Moments of sad
The pain was deep
The pain was bad
