Looking In

Joann Sanders 1976 (Oklahoma indian resevation)

February 24

I see all your becoming,
But you're completely holding back,
You don't have the ambition to contribute,
So you tell of what you lack,

It's often told that you conquer,
The accusing running back to squander,
All from what you took them for,
But you got them by the collar,

Knock on my door you come in some more,
I'm still watching and waiting to be teased,
Your strongest suit so appeased,
But still I can see and I am ever so eased,

What I have said that came to be,
While looking in on you
You see me
Watching you while you sleep.
