Fools Paradise

I THOUGHT I KNEW WHAT I WAS DOING
I thought that whatever I would do would aline the
Stars which would promise the perfect tomorrow.

But I was wrong.

I have come to terms that I am a mess.
I may look like I have things under control but
I really don’t.

Life has officially slapped me in my face
And has sent massive shivers down my spine when someone asks me about my future

You know why so many people focus too much on the future
when they really should focus in the present
Since it’s what makes the future.
It’s because they are scared of what they can’t control.
It’s what keeps them up at night
It’s what guilt trips them to calculate every movement in the present

Despite knowing this I was a fool.
I was the fool who got so enchanted by the present
And thus lived and enjoyed bathing in its beautiful waters.
Such a foolish act has officially become the nightmare that
Will haunt me until the day I perish.
