Spaces

Megan Abdoll 1978 (Port Elizabeth)

Spaces...

Movement and alignment in the places we fill
Timezones and motionless control
Spheres in timeless dimensions concealed.

The Spaces we keep, the faces we meet
A sweet passing of time
A moment divine yet undefined.

Elevated at times deflated, benign
Thoughtless and still
Trapped in time.

The Spaces we keep, the faces we meet
On this journey divine
Let's preserve the time.

White noise fills the room
As Spaces consume
The Spaces we keep, the faces we meet
On this journey so sweet
Keep a space for me
Please, how dare you keep a space so sweet.

About this poem

The poem is set in the writer's rendition of time and spaces. The poem starts out describing space whether in its literal or figurative form. The places we keep in our hearts and reserve for people, time, memories and places. We travel to, dimensions and time, a divinity of spaces we keep and preserve so sweet.
