She keeps tenderness in her hands

I was lying there, right in the cot.
Everyone kept making cute and weird faces to make me happy.
I wanted to cry so I did.
I said nothing but they assumed what I was feeling and it was always accurate.
My mother kept creasing my head with a handful of tenderness.

I am lying on the sofa right now.
I am waiting for someone to make me happy and smile.
I want to cry but my tears are swallowed in a gulp of saliva.
I have so many things going on in my head but no one figures them out now.
My mother entered my room with coffee and creased my head.

The hand was still full of tenderness.

Isn't it loving how some scenarios never change?
