Encouragement for all of you

Jason Macklin 1981 (Sanford)

In the spotlight's glow, young spirits ignite,
A dance team poised for a radiant flight.
National championship calls their name,
But doubts and worries play a silent game.

Girls, release the weight that shadows your grace,
Let the music guide, hearts quicken their pace.
Shake off the doubts that bind your free flight,
Unleash the passion, paint the stage with light.

In unity, let your movements express,
The joy within, the strength to impress.
National stage awaits, a canvas to paint,
Seize the moment, dance without restraint.

Chase away the whispers that echo fear,
Embrace the rhythm, let confidence steer.
For in each pirouette, a story unfolds,
Of courage and dreams that forever holds.

Trust the bond that unites your twirling kin,
A dance of hearts, let the journey begin.
Nationals beckon, so spread your wings wide,
Dance, dear team, in the dance of pride.

About this poem

I wrote this poem to encourage my fiancé‘s dance team heading to the national championships and the nerves were a wreck so I wrote it had it laminated and gave one to each team member. I think it touched a lot of people and gave them the strength that they needed.

Just a humble man who seen some experience and most things in life at the simple age of 42 I have lost pretty much everybody in my family. I have been to war and seeing things that I didn’t want to see but the power words and Music always get me through. Keep your head up people God bless. more…
