NWO

It was all gone in the blink of an eye,
The farms, which once grey oats and rye,
The lakes, where fish would leap up to catch the rays,
The fields, that may entice you to lay,
Mild-mannered and polite, the people were,
Respect was mutual, voices were heard,
Until we peeled it back to reveal the facade and learn the truth,
That our individualism comes second to profits through the roof,
All-seeing eye in the sky, ensuring the plans follow through,
Intervene with our connection to God, now our savior is the News,
He tells us non-verbally, how to be ethical,
They tell us subliminally to allow ourselves as their vessel,
Unacceptable, we become so susceptible,
To never reaching as high as those on the pedestal,
We passively accept what we are given,
Enjoy what we can, although it's not really living,
wear our uniforms, giving us a sense of pride,
which means they own us, no dissent or why,
I remember long days on the lake,
Watching the fish interact in their habitat,
See them thrive,
You may think that you are catching them,
They may not want to stay alive.
