Looking at the sky
Landing on my face
Raindrops from above
Fall with gentle grace

Silently caressing
Wet with its embrace
Raindrops from above
Soft as liquid lace

Streaming down my face
These drops of rain do fall
Reminding me of love
A love I once recall

Landing on my tongue
A taste of salty brine
Only to discover
These drops of rain are mine
