Mocked Behind Watching
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
With the mocking of steps watching,
Behind a dunce marching while dumping...
Mud upon their quality of life.
They follow blindly to know deceived.
Yet duped to disbelieve,
One they see as the best choice to lead...
Them away from the edge of doom.
Is the same one they picked,
To hear it heard to them said...
Had the mental stability to fix everything.
Although no one will stop to prevent,
A witnessing to observe...
The power that a loose nut has,
Before and not after...
Every wheel begins to be noticed,
Becoming publicly detached from inside...
A head unscrewed.
Lost and permanently cemented,
In a state of unrelenting craze!
But loved in the eyes,
Of those who praise and behold...
Absolute relatable dysfunction presented!
And mock they do to prove their loyalty.
Near and far with a sacrificing done,
To leave behind unconscious minds.
With a rushing to stand in line,
For the opportunity to drink...
The poisonous rhetoric.
They were told,
Had been sweetened visions of a future.
To receive and get if to jump off a cliff!
And this...
Many rushed to volunteer themselves,
To expect the long lasting effect...
Of a life to live as chosen immortals.
Forever to corrupt, lie and deceive!
While remaining addicted to fiction,
One ego anointed self serving 'leader'...
To be their last great hope!
Although for what are they hoping?
Done to do alone and independently.
Besides fiction to delude,
As a qualifying factor to be the 'hero'!
'Anything you can do,
I can do better.'
'No you can't.'
'Yes I can!
'No you can't!
'Yes I CAN!
Yes...I CAN!'
'Children?
It's time to come back into the house.
These days are getting dark very early!'
