One

Robert loughran 1962 (Ireland)

Stop, just stop.
Surely life doesn't need to be so driven.
By  endless needs and should haves,
by self rewarding and misgivings.
The puppet pulls the strings
the puppeteer pulls the faces
somewhere along the way
 we seemed to exchange places

Stop ,just stop .
Congeal here on the spot.
Allow all voices settle
all urgency to rot.
stop trying to escape
to here and now be tethered .
Not dreaming of someplace
more warm and softer feathered.

The ego runs from the present,
like a vampire from the sun
but there is no other place or time
just this single moment, one.

For some silly reason this leads me to state my desalinization plants idea is/was my last contribution that I will ever make towards any possible betterment of life in the United States…As IF the 59 cents per gallon price increase locally may have anything at all to do with funding such projects…But what do I know???And as for salad…Good luck with that one…
