To Do, To Want_To Do Want To_Do, or Not

You can teach or train someone
To DO (something).
You can't teach or train someone
To WANT (something).
You also can't teach or train someone
To WANT TO DO (something)!
Likewise,
You can't teach or train someone
To WANT TO WANT.

However, at some point or another,
Someone will always DO (something),
Always DO WANT (something),
Will always WANT TO DO (something),
And will always WANT TO WANT.

Therefore, you do
what you do.
You want
what you want.
You do
what you must do.
You want
what you do want to.
You do
what you want to do.
You want
what you want to do.
You do
what you don't want to.
And you don't do
what you don't want to do,
Too.

If you want to,
Then do.
If you don't want to,
Then don't do.
If you must do,
Then do, too.
If you don't do
What you must do,
It's your God-given right,
Your free will to choose not to.

But if you do,
And didn't want to,
Then what you did
Can only mean it was a must for you to do.

Life may be full of choices for us to choose
To either do or choose not to do.
However, life will deal us choices to choose
From things that we don't want to do
But, anyhow, must choose to do.
Not because life knows we don't want to
But because life knows it's best for us to do.

So, when those "without a choice" to choose
That of which you don't want to do
Arrive for you to do,
It would behoove you
To go ahead and choose to do,
Even when you don't want to.

Because sooner or later down the line
Life will reveal to you and make you realize
That for you,
It was best you did what you didn't want to do.
And even though we can still freely choose
To not do, that of which is a must for us to do,
Based on because we don't want to.
Life will prove
It isn't or wasn't the best choice to choose
To not do.

About this poem

We all have choices to choose from throughout life. However, sometimes, we don't have a choice and must choose to do things we'd rather not, or choose not to do and suffer whatever happens or whatever that turns out to be, short and/or long term. This poem exploits the complexity in deciding whether to do (something), or not, based on must or want when necessary.

Latasha Rogers

A soul of simplicity with the need to take things for face value, unless otherwise clearly expressed. Don't do well with, "You know what I means" nor "You know what I meants." There aren't any bushes to beat on here. Therefore, none will be provided by me to beat around. Tell me straight up how it is, how you may feel, etc; No spiraling down No hinting around. My feelings aren't that easily hurt. However, my feelings are that easily hurt when one does or intend to do the opposite of what I've previously expressed as in an advert. For the complexity of me: It can be really difficult and extremely challenging to 1st, gain my trust, and 2nd trust my gain. I'm that one, "... hmmm, it's hard to explain her personality." I'm certainly not the one to just go along because the majority selected an option that was wrong, especially if I'm receiving "feel hints" that are opposing. Unintentionally, when sometimes speaking I tend to be very passionate with the use of words. Otherwise, I'm caring, loving, and super sweet. Not easily perturbed. Except, when one tells a lie on me. Naturally give, share, and help others. If I'm unable, something in me it truly bothers. Because it's what brings the ultimate true joy within me. My weaknesses proves to be kindness and the sincere empathy. Take them for granted, or use for self-ad advantage, you'll regret it immediately. Not how some quickly thinks. I'll cut you off, though not in complete. However, shut you out from my dearing sweet showering treasures based off instincts. Trust me, Stings way much more than a cheek's pinch. Lover of writing, typing, researching, reviewing. As well as designing: Graphics, interior, fashion, & some architectural I possess numerous skills that comes natural catered to freelance work.. At this moment's perk, I'm $$ out of reach. more…
