You Don’t Beat Grief

You don’t beat grief
It isn’t defeatable
It’s robber, an inner thief

But it doesn’t have to control you
You accept what has happened
And you make it through
It’s not what anyone imagined

You find your ways to cope
You gather a safe place to let the emotions escape
Bad things happen but don’t lose hope
It’s a new life that takes shape

Memories and love is the foundation
Strength and courage it takes to live on
You will fall and it may have complications

You pick yourself back up
Because the journey is yours alone
Don’t hold it in so you eventually erupt
Don’t place blame, guilt you don’t need to own

It’s a new way of living
Finding your new normal
That’s what happens when you’re grieving
No invite, no preparation, it’s pretty informal

Just remember to be patient with yourself
Don’t stay in the dark and hide away
If you take care of you the dark will fade

Be your own light
Deep breath in, exhale
No need to fight
Continue to prevail

In the coming days I’ll be closing one chapter and beginning a new one myself…I’m listening to Rock And Roll Fantasy and soon I’ll be in a small town with 2 fm radio stations…The main one being the town’s Christian station and a station from Marfa…Oh well, at least there is no Kindom Gall there…It is stated that its permanently closed…I wonder how long a time, times and half a time will be???✌️⛄️
