Hoping For This Horizon

Hoping for this horizon
Jutting high into whitened wisps
Of cloud capped heavens,
Treetops extend a wooden hand
To tired birds to perch.

The piney woods stretch its grasp
Far up the snaked road,
Losing eyes to see down intersection
Of faded blue and pale green

Into the this horizon evergreen trees
Bleeding with a landscape wrapped
In mist of and abandon,
Casting strong pigments aside.

About this poem

When jutting high into whitened wisp. White clouds capped heavens, treetops extend a wooden hand to tired birds to perch. Hoping for this horizon. Standing up for yourself.
