Frozen
She was frozen in a pensive mood
As the ominous clouds settled in
Leaving her with a sense of solitude
As she watched the falling leaves out her window, Falling as fast as the coffee being ground
The snow fell like an endless monsoon
And the winter never seemed so cold
As it came to another full moon
The bitterness bite like a juvenile snake
Leaving the taste of warmth, she knew would soon come
She’s never felt more isolated in such an open place
As she longed for the spring to bring the endless showers
And all the colors form the blooming trees and flowers.
Nothing could break her stare.
With the smell of honeysuckle in the air
As she reminisced on all the precious memories
