Cacophony of Goodbye

In the echoes of goodbye, a painful tale unfolds,
Once entwined hearts, now distant and cold.
I've grown accustomed to your return in strife,
Yet, this departure cuts deeper than the past's knife.

Your laughter now dances in another's embrace,
A swift departure, leaving no trace.
Through trials and tribulations, we did endure,
But this farewell, a symphony of a different allure.

Your words, a canvas of scars on my soul,
A love that once made me feel whole.
Despite the wounds inflicted by your past deeds,
I forgave and offered chances, tending to love's needs.

True love, a beacon of purity and grace,
Yet, our love story takes a different pace.
The goodbye lingers, heavy with finality,
Three years of us, now lost in reality.

This farewell, a haunting melody of despair,
A chapter closed, an unanswered prayer.
Through the tears and the memories we've sown,
This goodbye, etched in the marrow of my own.

So, I stand at the crossroads of our time,
Aching for a love that was once sublime.
In the echoes of this parting, a soulful cry,
For the love that withers, yet refuses to die.

About this poem

I penned a poignant poem about the pain of a farewell, unraveling a once-intertwined love now grown distant. It captures the enduring struggle, lost laughter, and scars from words that were once a canvas of love. Despite forgiveness, the farewell marks the end of a three-year journey with heavy finality. The poem encapsulates a haunting melody of despair and the lingering echoes of a love refusing to die. Standing at the crossroads, I ache for the sublime love that now withers in this soulful cry.
