I’ve had too much time alone
One more lonesome day
I’ve been sitting here at home
While you have been away
Locked here behind these walls
My heart is beating slow
Listening to the whispers
My heart is saying low
Wanting to hear sweet words
In a quiet tone
Knowing there’s no knocking
Or ringing of the phone
Once again it whispers
I feel so all alone
