Overcast

Its overcast today
Not stormy
But dark
And cold
And fitting
For today I missed you anew…
I know you are gone
Never coming back to me
And I feel
Dark and cold
And lonely once again…
I knew you would have to leave
And I knew I could do nothing
Save stand by and hold your hand
And say goodbye one last time…
It feels strange
To visit your grave
For the love I knew
Cannot be buried there,
It is still too alive
Within me…
So, I stand here
Gazing at the cold stone
And then off into the horizon,
Talking to no one, myself, you,
Crying and feeling my warm tears
Flow down my face
Missing you so deeply,
Always, missing you…
