The Absence of Our Hearts

When do they care, when it's too late to make up for their mistakes.
Tears fall like rain, to only find That hearts can fade, to lose the love they once embraced. Always the last chance and find it's all in vein. Hearts set on shelves... they do expire, from overwhelming grief. From lost words to it doesn't really matter and all of the sharp pieces are completely shattered. Cutting the soul, torn into.  A veil ripped in the night leaving love left Eskew. Deliberate emotions in the dark, untouched but bruised, two loves abandoned it leaves a mark, Like someone they never knew. So they go on separate and tattered,
Ragged with hues of grays and blues. If only souls could read the colors, Of our hearts auras, no one will bother, But left cold in stone and memories shutter. Perhaps our pride... it is too much, alone we travel til we recover. The absence of our hearts....
