Everytime I Think of You

Yogurt

Her skin is better than mine
Soft like lychee flesh
Shining like glass shards throwing off the sun
The beauty mocks me
My own skin reeks
My attitude rough and ashy

Lips crack and bleed
My life dry and sandy
Dead animal decay
Tangled hair,
slick with grease

You are lotion
Heal my stricken skin
Shoot through my veins,
course through my body
Itch for another high
You call me a monster
I call you a cure

About this poem

This poem uses lotion to compare the "dry" feeling of ashy skin to the characters life and love. It describes feelings of jealousy, addiction, and toxicity using the lotion abstraction.
