I wish you would just hit me
Get it over with then forgive me
But instead, you say these slurs
That leaks into my mind until it hurts
The bruises are deep
But never show
I would never let that side of me glow
But guess what Ma
I’m taking back my identity
What you say does not define me
I’m rolling up my sleeves now
The bruises are so deep now
I can’t breathe now
Is this the end?
