NGUNI ANCESTORS

SIPOKAZI MATUTU 1996 (PORT ELIZABETH)

I am proud of my ngun's sharp eyes that see evil spirits. I am proud of the instincts that keep me from entering the pit of destruction. I am proud of my ancestors who fight my battles when there is a conspiracy against me. The sky of the Ngun ancestors dries up and lightning strikes and the swing breaks while my enemies  think i'm defeated. I worship and pray,  my prayer is heard. Even if I walk in the darkness, my ancestors are looking at me, I stand up and shout yes, I am a NGUNI!!
