Confidant

When it's lonely
in a crowded home,
when the crowd
still feels like you're solo,
when it's empty
in an overfilled space
and no matter where you are
you seem to leave no trace.

When nothing
is the something
you seem to never escape.
There's no hiding there,
what here, won't embrace.

When you know you need more,
but you don't know where to turn,
you don't know who to ask,
you don't know what to do.
Listen to your heart
long for the God
that has so much love for you.

God fills that space
no one else can reach.
God calms all the secret anxieties.
God knows what no one else can see.
God is the eternal Prince of Peace.

And He knows everything about you!
You need only, believe.
He wants the best for you
regardless of what you perceive.

So when you feel lonely,
remember you are not alone.
Pray, He will comfort you.
His love forever, known.
