Part II of the Witch's Brew

Collecting tarot to become a story teller
Searching skies to illuminate my mind
Stars twinkle in the night as I watch from below
Wishing to touch the sky that is dark like my soul
I am one with the universe
Drifting in and out of subconsciousness
Leaving my conscience behind
For a taste of what it's like to be free
Like birds soaring above
Touching pavement for a brisk walk only to fly high again
If I were a witch,
I'd turn myself into a Raven
Speaking in the tongues of Edgar Allan
I would fly to the Moon or Venus or Mars
To live forever amongst to galactic gods

Katrina R Lippolis

I began writing poetry at the age of 15, when I was first introduced to the genre. By age 19, it became a hobby. At age 36, I self published my first poetry collection, The Way We Fall: Love Amid the Thistles, in 2020. Which met with great praise. I look forward to perhaps sharing more poetry in the future. In the meantime, when I'm not writing, I enjoy cooking, learning about tarot, astrology, numerology and reading on meditation. more…
