Chasm

Standing on tip toes,
Placing a foot on the bridge,
Above all my woes,
'Til the death march blended,
And the skeletons are beneath,
The tiles breaks, and I landed,
Down on the bottom,

On the pit,
Grave writ,
On the pit,
Down the chasm.

See the vines,
Down the mines,
See the hands,
Down the land,
They are on you,
They're chasing you,
All the way into the chasm.

The fall is not long,
That's what I say,
There's nothing wrong,
That's what I say,
It's all false,
False in the eyes of the lost,
Lost deep in the chasm.

I'm okay,
The dark won't creep behind me,
I'm fine,
The torches in the cavern,
They give way to paths to see,
But what are they to me?
