Could Have Been Worse (I promise I was happy when I wrote this)

I pictured my name on a grave that people just walk past.
My first name, all but a glance
My stone cracked over buried ash
and I know i am forgotten,
and still it’s only a little sad.
My last resting place…
My life…
Just a stone in the ground
With withered flowers
From years ago
When I was still remembered.
Maybe a bit of grass stained yellow
To keep me company
This is what I think about
When I’m alone
With my thoughts
And I must say…
It’s a bit comforting!
