One Side of Love

One Side of Love.

You loved me with your body,
Pressing those great guardians of that toothy smile
Against mine in a moment of joy,
And talking coyly in rhymes,
While those fingertips of yours,
Ran up, and down my spine.

You robbed me with your body,
And I lay there, shivering,
Beneath the quivering of your thighs,
And the soft sighs, that had asked plenty
Of the sweating corpse of your lover,
Who lay there now, shivering,
And empty.

I loved you with my body,
My hands, like naval fleets,
Sailed wherever needed,
And my eyes pleaded with yours to show
Me where it hurt, and where to go,
As we rolled around in the dirt.

I robbed you with my body,
Keeping the image of you at your naked best,
And feeling the heaving of your hot breast
Where the beads of our sweat hung,
And your taste, lingers still,
On the tip of my tongue.

I loved you with my mind,
But that’s another poem,
For another time.
