The Demon Heroin

I stuck a demon in my veins. It's made a home inside my brain. Its name is heroin, they say. It tries to steal your life away. Gone down so many roads before. I've tried to open heaven's door. Myself got lost along the way. I'm coming home again today.

No one can hurt us like we Can. So maybe You can understand. If happiness can be attained. I'd like to reach for it today. I'll try to heal my ugly side. My darker half won't have to hide. Then may the world not weigh so much. My beast won't shy from gentle touch.

If I could look me in my face. I might see me and not mistakes. Why am I angry all the time? A light in darkness I can't find. Dear lord, a better man in me. Please help my broken eyes to see. So I might feel worthy of my love. To pass along to everyone.

Why do we have to try so hard?
To rip and tare our lives apart.
Wish I could find myself some peace?
Learn how to tame my inner beast.

About this poem

I hope you read this, and it helps you to understand, that we are all worthy of love. I hope you also understand that it's not selfish to learn to love yourself first, because once you really do you are going to find out that your whole world has loved you from the start and you would break their heart if you take yourself away from them. Peace and much love and blessings unto you.
