Mommy

I couldn’t imagine, how could someone love you more. I see the way he looks at you, in love with all your highs, nobody gets the best of you, you raised the three of us just right I wanna say away with you, the way you look when your despised. Like I don’t give a f*ck, I won’t say sorry. I don’t care about the color of your eyes. That doesn’t make me jealous, I’m a mommy and a life. I tip real good, I pay the bills, I change stuff about me all the time. I’ve worked real hard for my family, I’ve built a happy home. One thing about me mommy, when I’m upset leave me alone. Only thing in this world that matters is that you raised me to your best. I know I made mistakes, but from my mommy I get the rest. My dad I love you dearly, and I’m sad I made you cry. If I could take back anything it would be the look inside your eyes, and put back all the money I stole, so that I could get real high. Everyday after school especially Friday no surprise. The days I didn’t see you, I really always cried, till the driver of the bus would say, little lady, look, you’re right. It’s Friday and he’s just late, daddies parked there now don’t cry. I always wear my smile, you were my favorite, but I can’t lie, when you are not around, my mommy yes, is always by my side. She saved me from the stairwells, she saved me from the hell, she saved me from the toy room, where he wondered me off and said “don’t tell”. She saved me from the couch, where I cried about my tummy, and took a job with less pay. You saved me from the pain. I know I don’t know how to say it, but I love you more each day, I love the person I am now, the way it should of been, I thank you both for the life I’ve had, and the life you’ve helped give my kids. You see me struggle daily, and you see me paying bills, you seem to always help me, even when it’s not your bill. I love that your so proud of us, and the fucked up things I’ve done, but most of all I thank you, for the women I’ve become. I love you.

About this poem

Its a mix of emotions that my mind processes daily. How could one person be so loved. How could I love someone so much. How could someone love me so much and not know anything.
